Cooper Lake State Park is one of my favorite campgrounds with-in a 90-minute drive from the DFW

Area, it has 2 Campgrounds – South Sulphur Unit and Doctors Creek Unit on the north side of Cooper Lake.   Both have wonderful large sites, wooded, extra space in between sites and some are waterfront with a path to walk down and put your Kayak in.

There is a fishing pier, beach, cabins, even an Equestrian Camping Area and Ranger programs for the kids.

The town of Sulphur Springs is a short drive away with a Historic Downtown, restaurants, and shopping.  Check out the public toilet on the Square, you can see out, but the public cannot see in, great photo op!
