FIRST DAY HIKE

Dec 5, 2021 | 0 comments

Start out your New Year Day right with a First Day Hike at many of the Texas State Parks!   Great way to get out with family and friends, start a new tradition by strapping on your hiking boots and hitting the trails in a State Park in Texas.

Wonderful way to start the year working off those COVID-19 pounds, resolutions and maybe you will find yourself taking in a hike on the weekends more often.

There is even add a Countdown Hike on New Year’s Eve, Dinosaur Valley State Park will have one in Glen Rose, Texas.  Check out Texas State Parks website for schedules and times of a park near you!

North Texas area Parks having First Day hikes are Tyler, Bonham, Dinosaur Valley, Lake Mineral Wells, and Fort Richardson in Jacksboro.

Thank you Linda Nelson for the 2019 hike pictures.
