Lake Texoma is home to some exciting fossils, if you are a collector or just for fun. Some of the fossils most commonly seen on Lake Texoma’s rocky shores are called Ammonites. 

This once was the ocean floor 82-90 Million years, the Cretaceous Period.

Walking from the dam go west on the lake shore or the Solider Creek Oklahoma side to find fossils.
