Helinox Sunset Chair

Are you looking to replace your worn-out camp chairs with something incredibly comfortable, lightweight and easy to store? Have you ever visited a camp site and wondered where they found the perfect coordinating chair for their “look”? Have you tried multiple varieties of chairs only to be dissatisfied with your purchase after only a few outings? All of these scenarios represented me for years! In fact, over the past 5 years, I have gone through several brands trying to find a camp chair that met all of my needs and was beautiful to boot! I’ve probably spent a few hundred dollars on different styles that all failed to meet my expectations, some after only one trip out.

After continuing to research and read throughout our quarantining spring and summer, I came across the Helinox Chair. Initially, I was discouraged by the price, but something kept bringing me back to their website and in July, I decided to buy one and give it a try. It is simply amazing! I chose the mesh chair as opposed to a fabric chair because I live in South Texas. Our extremely hot and humid temperatures leave me sweating with most other fabrics, so I decided to give the breathable mesh a try.

The Helinox Sunset Chair is described as a lightweight, portable, and collapsible chair with a taller profile and greater ground clearance for easy in-and-out. The frame is constructed of an aluminum alloy and can hold up to 320 lbs. The seat is removable, and the frame collapses down to store in a zippered carrying case that is 4.5 x 5.5 x 18 inches, all weighing just 3.5lbs.

I gave my new chair a great test drive during our recent three week trip up to Glacier National Park and loved it so much that I ordered a second chair for my husband. I ended up purchasing my chairs from Amazon as they had the color I ultimately wanted. The Helinox brand of chairs range in price from $69.95 to $224.95 depending on the color and style you choose. They come with a 5-year warranty, have replacement parts, and even offer a variety of accessories including cup holders and rocking feet.
