Great for kayaking too. There is a little hidden pocket on top that has a piece of foam in it. You can stash cash, IDs or a key in the pocket and the foam helps the hat to float if you drop it in the water.

My Tilley has traveled the world with me. This was a rainy day when we stopped at an overlook showing Hohenschwangau Castle in Germany.
