Who doesn’t love a spur of the moment trip?
My mother had been talking about wanting to visit Salem Massachusetts so we hopped in the car and took off to go explore. A perfect weekend trip for anyone who loves a town with some awesome spooky history. Salem’s top tourist time is of course Halloween so it was nice to explore on its off season without the huge crowds.
We stayed at the “ Hawthorne Hotel “ right in the heart of town and a super short walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. The Hawthorne Hotel was full of old charm ,the rooms were ADORABLE and the staff were so friendly !
In the morning we stopped at the “ Fountain Place Restaurant “ and had the most AMAZING breakfast. Seriously the best I’ve ever had.
Then we stopped at a few stores , my favorite being Crown Haven Corner , Emporium 32 , Witch City Wicks , and Bewitched In Salem. After shopping we went to check out the Witch House and The House Of Seven Gables.
For dinner we ate at Boston Burger Company and finished the meal with some of their signature shakes. Also AMAZING.
If you are looking to visit a town with spooky charm , Salem is a must !!!
