Yes, this New Jersey girl decided to try winter camping. However, the weather was horrendous with a constant pelting of rain and then snow. I never thought I would be able to plan my trip. Thankfully, the rain stopped and the snow began to melt. It was just very, very cold. Brrrr.
I have a 1963 vintage camper. Let’s say it’s a tin can on wheels. Good thing this trip was only going to be three days because I was not sure how long this baby (camper) will keep me warm. It was fun pulling out all of my quilted blankets. I had to find my electric heaters, and of course, I needed at least two. I was expecting a guest and this camper had to be toasty.

I had a Blast!! You never know what to expect until you try. I am not a “fan” of the cold, but with a heavy coat, gloves, scarf and amazing friends it was a fabulous weekend. We roasted marshmallows, cooked over a fire with our cast iron pan, and laughed and laughed into the night…
