In this episode of the Girl Camper podcast, host Lesa McDermott welcomes Dan Sacha and Lauren Raven from Lippert to discuss Lippert’s RV Owner Schools. The school aims to empower RV owners with the skills and knowledge to perform basic maintenance and repairs, which is a significant issue in the RV industry, given the long wait times for dealership services. Lippert’s RV Owner School offers both basic and advanced classes, catering to both new and experienced RVers. The classes include hands-on training sessions on various aspects, such as axle bearing packing, slide-outs, leveling systems, and appliance maintenance. They emphasize a tailored approach where participants can choose their own learning journey, whether they wish to become DIY enthusiasts or gain better knowledge for dealer interactions.
Community and Learning Environment
The school provides a community-focused environment, including a welcome dinner for participants to meet instructors and fellow attendees. The three-day courses in Mishawaka, Indiana, priced at $250, also provide discounted products and additional services. For those who can’t make it to Indiana, Lippert offers ‘RV Owner Schools on the Road,’ one-day intensive courses held in various locations across the U.S. Additional resources for those unable to attend the school include comprehensive documentation, videos, webinars, and a support tab on their website. Lippert additionally partners with industry figures like the Flipping Nomad and organizations such as Harvest Hosts to enhance the learning experience.
Upcoming Sessions and Resources
The next sessions in Indiana are scheduled for late summer, and a mobile school session is planned in Phoenix, Arizona, in November. The podcast emphasizes the importance of the Lippert RV Owner School in building a knowledgeable and self-sufficient RV community, ensuring participants can make the most out of their RV experiences.
