On this week’s show my producer Stephanie Puglusi and I go over my Top Five picks for Girl Campers from the annual RVIA show. RV manufacturers are creating more lightweight towable trailers in smaller sizes that are an attractive alternative to renovating the vintage trailers that many people desire.
The Lance truck camper 650 is an ideal choice for anyone not wishing to tow or wishing to tow something other than a trailer.
The interior offers everything you would have in a travel trailer including a wet bath.
The booth folds down and becomes a 32 x 76 additional bed.
I love everything about the sleeping loft from the Queen size bed to the large window, Allen head space, hanging clothes racks and pin lighting for night reading.
The kitchen has a microwave and two burner stove top with flush mounted tempered glass top for added counter space.
The SL169BH by Venture RV was another show favorite.
The love seat with Murphy bed behind it allows you to have flexible day time use of the space and to keep bed linens out of site when not in use.
One of the things I liked most about this model are the way the bunks are configured. Rather than running the length of the trailer they run width wise allowing for a much larger bathroom.
The rear entrance and hinged bunk makes this space very flexible. The door is large enough to accommodate a kayak or paddle board.
The SL169VBH by Venture RV made my list because of its flexible floor plan.
A Liners new Ascape is a great option for those who want to keep their tow vehicle small. Weighing in at 1300 pounds in dry weight makes it a viable option for many.
This too had flexibility in the floor plan for so small a trailer. A single user could keep one half made up as a twin bed leaving a bench for seating and reading.
Two models are available- one with an air conditioner and stow away potty and the other lighter version without. The rear entrance had a nice awning over it and it had a nice big kitchen sink, two burner stove and microwave.
With an exterior color change I think the Riverside Retro toy hauler has great possibilities for the Girl Camper with toys! Those toys could be kayaks, paddle boards, four wheelers or a traveling art show, mobile business or just an open concept trailer that could hold a crowd!
The floor plan includes everything you want in a travel trailer and the ability to use the cargo space for whatever you want.
Gulfstream’s Vintage Cruiser made the list for the second year in a row because of their newest Woody version. I’m always a sucker for a cabin in the woods and this trailer hits the mark. If you can’t buy a lake house, buy this instead and take it to whatever lake you want! Tim Dennig was interviewed about this trailer on Episode #55.
