We have heard about it from several different levels of Girl Camper. Now you will hear it from North Texas Girl Campers- There is no wrong way to camp like a Girl!
We recently had a campout in North Texas at Cleburne State Park, and we had Girl Campers show up in several different ways to camp! And the best thing about it is they were all completely happy and excited about their version of camping. We had car/truck campers, van campers, cabin campers and trailer campers. We loved sharing with each other how we accomplished camping in our own unique style. And we agreed with each other, there is no wrong way to camp like a girl! We saw something in each of our versions that we liked.
The temperatures were chilly, and the air was crisp. It didn’t matter, they all stayed warm and comfy in their mode of camping. They all had their own form of kitchen, bed, storage, and bathroom situations.
Just a few ways to camp like a girl:

Judy had a camper that she has built additional shelves and cabinets to suit her storage or activity needs. She has also added a canopy tent to the back of her camper to use as added shelter when cooking, relaxing and having privacy for doing things like brushing her teeth.

Jerri has converted a van and has built and utilized all of her space very efficiently. She has built a cabinet for a potty. She has everything she needs and everything she needs has a designated spot. Her latest addition is this swing away storage container. It also has the ability to add another storage box or a bicycle rack.

Alisa backs into her site, unhooks and sets up camp. She has lots of windows to look out. She has a wet bath that works wonderfully. Alisa has lots of storage and her camper is all terrain, which allows her to go lots of places!
No Girl Camper is the same – we like all types of activities:
Along the lines of there is no wrong way to Camp like a Girl, we had Girl Campers that enjoyed all sorts of different activities while at the campground. Some Girl Campers liked hiking, Dutch oven cooking, walking their dogs, going into town and shopping; while there were others that liked sitting around the campsite crafting, visiting, gazing at the fire, stargazing and relaxing. At this campout, we even had a camper share her love for music and Native American flutes.
At the same time, a lot of us also agreed that sometimes it is nice to just go back to our own campsite for a nap, to read or to have just plain ol’ alone time. These were just a few activities the campers enjoyed, there were so many more. One thing is for sure, we definitely make sure we gather together to break bread together, share stories and laughter!
