I’ve always been a tent camper. However, as I have ‘grown up’ my camping style has changed a little bit. I have found that comfort now outweighs my desire for compact. And sometimes I still enjoy solitude, but I also enjoy camping with my grandkids. That is about as far from solitude as you can get, With all of the things we like to bring when we camp, we require something not so compact. That is when I discovered White Duck Outdoors and their incredible tents!
Sharing a Tradition
Camping in a camper is fun, but my tiny camper doesn’t offer the room that two teenagers and a grandma need for a camping trip of several days. I didn’t want to get a larger trailer and truck with gas prices so high, so a larger tent seemed like the perfect option. I grew up camping in a tent. More specifically I camped a lot in large canvas tents with Girl Scouts back in the 70’s. So why not share that with my grandkids? White Duck Outdoors offered the perfect tent for us with its 13’ Regatta 360 tent. It’s not only huge, it’s beautiful and so unique that you feel like you’re not just on a campout, you’re having an adventure! It’s definitely an upgrade from the old canvas tents at scout camp.
White Duck Quality
White Duck offers several different sizes and styles of tents, but all of their tents are made with the best materials available. White Duck Outdoors has their own proprietary DYNADUCK fabric and uses it in all of their tents. Their DYNADUCK is 100% double-fill army duck cotton canvas and is treated with a PFC-free, fire water repellent, mold & UV resistant finish. This guarantees that your tent is going to last!
Meet my 13’ Regatta 360 Tent
I chose the bell tent style because I love not only the way it looks, but the space it offers. It might look like it’s difficult to set up, but my two 13 year old grand twins and I had it up in less than fifteen minutes. There are only two poles in the tent: a center pole and an entryway pole. The tent is held up with the guy lines that go around the entire tent. I was truly surprised at how easy it was go not only put up, but then take down when we were ready to head home.
360 Degree View
Once your tent is up, this unique bell tent has side panels all the way around the tent that can be rolled up. Not only does this give you a wonderful cross breeze through the tent, but you have a 360 degree view! The tent is already huge, but it feels like it’s even bigger with the panels rolled up. It really is the definition of bringing the outdoors inside. You can keep it simple, or you can ‘glamp it up’ with twinkle lights, soft rugs and cozy camp chairs too.
Roomier Than My Camper
The Regatta 360 Tent is actually twice as big as my little 13 foot vintage camper. There were only three of us on this camping trip, but it could easily sleep a lot more than that. We had plenty of room for our gear and our mattresses and bedding. Speaking of mattresses, as a grandma I still love to camp – but I don’t love sleeping on the hard ground. That’s another plus to this tent. There is plenty of space for an air mattress or a cot. You can customize the interior however you like. My sweet pups enjoyed it too!
America’s Favorite Bell Tent
White Duck Outdoors makes the best quality canvas tents on the market, and this Regatta 360 tent is one of their most popular and best selling models. Now that I have camped in one, it’s easy to see why. It’s not only super easy to set up, but it’s made so well that it is going to be an investment that will last for years. I know that there are memories to be made in this awesome tent. And, did I mention that it’s the talk of the campground too? The cute factor is just a bonus. Give it a look when you’re in the market for a new way to camp. You’ll be glad you did.
