Christmas Decorations with a Camping Theme

Are you creative? Christmas decorations are such a creative art. This is not one of my strongest areas so I love to look at how others have designed their trees and other holiday decorations. Have you ever used a theme, if so, tell me about it. What about a camping theme?

Recently, I had the opportunity to visit Fort Wilderness at Walt Disney World and snapped pictures of some of the decorations for inspiration. My hope is that you will enjoy them. Who doesn’t love an owl?

Wouldn’t it be fun to stay in a tepee? Let me know if you have ever put one up and camped in it. The lights inside of these are beautiful.

Birds are always around the places I camp. While the branches may look frozen, Central Florida is an awesome place to camp in the winter time.

My adventures canoeing on the Loxahatchee River will be in a future post so make sure to come back to read about it.

Such creative ideas for decorating using a camping theme. Should we try to make a human totem pole at our first get-together?**

Here is the whole tree, it’s so large you really need the close ups to see the detail.

Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite Christmas decoration is. Was it purchased or, did someone special make it for you? Tell me why it was special to you.

Peace, love and happy holidays.

** If you live near Central Florida or will be visiting in the next few months I am taking suggestions for where to hold our first Girl Camper Central Florida rally. I promise there will be plenty of adventure.
