“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery. Air, mountains, tree, people. I thought, this is what it is to be happy.” Sylvia Plath

Kelly Jo understands exactly what Sylvia Plath wrote about. She is a member of the Women Who Hike Northern California group.

No Wrong Way to Camp Like a Girl

She has a crew of little backpacking girls who carry their personal gear for every outing. Kelly Jo packs the tent.

For many adult campers, their childhood memories of camping with family fuels their dedication to camping now. Kelly Jo is passing on self-sufficiency skills as well as an appreciation for all nature has to offer.

Sometimes Simple is Best

No fancy vehicles or trailers are needed for this troupe of outdoor enthusiasts. The right shoes, clothing, and a few personal items are all they need to get out there and take advantage of the day or weekend.

Do you ever find yourself making things more difficult than they need to be, to the point of sometimes missing out on the experiences you long for?

What’s Next for You?

An hour…a day…a weekend…your soul maintenance is calling! Is there anything you can simplify in the effort to get outside more often?

Our sincere thanks go out to Kelly Jo Lindblom Angula for sharing these darling and inspiring photographs of the cutest backbacking crew ever!
