MD – Historic Downtown Annapolis

Dec 5, 2021 | 0 comments

Very few cities in the country can boast some of the best 17th and 18th century buildings still standing today. Historic Downtown Annapolis is one of them that can, including the homes of the four Maryland signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Stroll through the Annapolis’ charming waterfront and watch the boats cruise in and out of the famous Ego Alley. You may even catch the United States Naval Academy sailing teams practice near Santee Basin. If you are looking to test your boating own skills, try a sailing class. I really liked the Annapolis Sailing School, especially their TrySail course. It is a two hour introduction to sailing for those not ready to commit to a certification.

When visiting historic downtown Annapolis explore the boutique shops, eclectic green gifts or galleries. Take a relaxing stroll along the historic downtown streets. Stop by and enjoy a latté at a local coffee shop or one of many restaurants.

With Annapolis being just a short drive from Washington, DC or Baltimore, it will surely make a great day trip.
