by Lisa Dempsey, Southeast Texas Chapter Guide
Join us in the Texas Big Thicket for Paddle Camp. Lisa Dempsey, your Southeast Texas Chapter Guide, has a long-weekend planned with the help of several Park Rangers. The Rangers will instruct and guide us on how to kayak or canoe and take us on paddle-outs through the forest waterways. They will also be hosting a Dutch Oven cooking demonstration. We will also be treated to a guided hike to explore the flora, fauna, and wildlife that make the Big Thicket so unique.
This event fee includes all of your meals and the cost of your campsite! We have spaces for trailers, tents, car campers, and even a cabin available! You do need to bring your own kayak or canoe and personal floatation device (life jacket). We cannot guarantee that any will be available to rent at the event.
If you are more interested in glamping, this may not be the event for you, but if you love to explore nature and its wonders, you will want to join us!
You will need to have completed the safety vetting registration on the Girl Camper event page to read the details and find out how to register. If you have already done that, you can skip ahead and check out the event location and details to join us!
