The caves, yes real caves, were once the hideout for the likes of outlaws Jesse James and Belle Starr. We visited the nature center and there were exhibits including detailed history of the good guys and bad guys during those times.
Located right along the beach outside of Lake Jackson on the gulf, in between surf side beach and the Galveston island. Beach and bay-front resort location with all sites having views of the beach or wetlands.
I had just moved to a new town and was invited by a classmate to join her Senior Girl Scout Troop. I’d been in Girl Scouts since I was a Browne, but the troops I was in had never really camped a lot. That all changed when I became a member of Mrs. Boyd’s senior troop! My life as a Girl Camper had begun!
Has it been worth it? Yes!! The experience, meeting locals, and coming home with goodies from the sites I traveled to, totally makes up for the annual membership fee. I would not trade them for anything!

In business for 50 years, Maple Park has a ton of loyal families who return year after year, as well as plenty of seasonal renters, who spend full summers parked here.
We can comfortably accommodate 30 campers. It is our hope to have ample room between each camper so everyone can stretch out and enjoy their stay.
Many vintage campers don’t have much lighting or outlet options, mine certainly didn’t being an ’88. This becomes a convenience problem. Where do I plug in this lamp? Or more of a problem, where do I put a lamp in such a small space? Or I have no electricity there, now what do I do? I would love a light right there, just like a chandelier but how?

You use a 3-season tent in three seasons and a 4-seasons tent in all four seasons. But is that really what it means? The right answer is no, it has nothing to do with the season in which you go camping. It’s more about the conditions at your destination and what you expect your tent to handle. The seasons of a tent do not so much indicate the time of year, but rather its suitability for sun, bad weather, rain, wind and cold. Which one you need depends entirely on what the camping conditions are at your destination.
